NorCal Driver Highlights in NASCAR for the week ending March 11th

Here are the race results for Northern California Drivers competing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide, Camping World Truck, and the K&N Pro Series during the past week.

Upcoming Race: Saturday, March 31st, the Kroger 250 at Martinsville Speedway.

Matt Crafton from Tulare is currently in 21st place in the points standings.

Mike Skinner from Susanville is 30th in the points standings.

NASCAR K&N Pro Series West

Last Weekend’s Race: No racing this past weekend.
Upcoming Race: Saturday, April 14th, the Toyota/NAPA 150 at Havasu 95 Speedway.

Derek Thorn from Lakeport, is in 5th place in the 2012 points standings.

Eric Holmes from Escalon, the 3-time Champion, is in the 8th spot in the points.

Ryan Philpott from Tracy, is in the 16th position in the points standings.

Brady Flaherty from Wilton, is in 21st place in the points to start the year.

Dylan Hutchison from Fair Oaks: The 17 year-old rookie is currently in 23rd in the 2012 standings.

Trevor Cristiani from Ukiah: Another 17 year-old rookie, is in 25th place after the first race.

Justin Funkhouser from Paradise: Justin starts the year in 28th place in the points.

Jack Sellers from Sacramento:The 67 year-old veteran racer and team owner struggled in the first race of the year and is in the 29th spot in the standings.

Last Weekend’s Race: Saturday, March 10th, the Sam’s Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Upcoming Race: Saturday, March 17th, the Ford EcoBoost 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

T.J. Bell from Sparks, NV started 38th and raced to a 31st place finish after having engine issues. T.J. dropped 3 spots and is now 20th in the Nationwide points standings.


Scott Speed
from Manteca: Scott qualified in the 26th position and finished 42nd for the 2nd week in a row.

Last Weekend’s Race: Sunday, March 11th, the Kobalt Tools 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Upcoming Race: Sunday, March 18th, the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

A.J. Allmendinger from Los Gatos qualified 14th and finished in the 37th spot, after running in the front most of the day. A.J. dropped 5 spots, and is now in 30th in the points.

Jeff Gordon from Vallejo started 16th and raced to a 12th place finish. Jeff moved up 5 spots to 17th in the points standings.
