  1. Hope you can add this….

GGSMU, is a S.F. Peninsula based car club. The club was formed in the summer of 1987,
under the direction of it’s founder, A.N. (Tac) Tacderan. Tac ran the auto shop in the Presidio of S.F..
By 1988 the club was meeting in San Bruno and later in 2000 we began meeting at the Elks Club in San Mateo.
( Enter the side door and take a right. ) We have been meeting regularly the first Tuesday of each month,
at 7:00PM since 1990. We offer an invitation to all interested in the club.
The club is run with the help of our President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasure, and 5 board of directors.
They meet the last Thursday of each month at Carls Jr. in San Bruno @ 6:45PM.
Any members who wish to listen in are welcome.
All issues discussed at the board meeting are presented to the club at the general meetings.

  2. Aegis of Corte Madera is planning its third annual Classic Car Show for September 22, 2012 in Corte Madera. We need some more cars! We are looking for a variety of cars, a mixture of makes and years. The day includes summertime fun – sno cones, popcorn, cotton candy – plus free lunch for exhibitors, prizes and trophies. Cost: $15 for a non-profit. If you would like to show your classic car, please contact me at 415-927-4200.

  3. Please add the Mini Owners of America – San Francisco (MOASF), a club started in 1965 with members all over Northern California.

We’re hosting a RALLY AGAINST CANCER on November 17, 2012 and invite all vehicles to join us. This is a benefit that costs $30 to enter and all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. We will start out by the Marin Headland Visitor Center at 8 am and the rally ends on Mt. Tamalpais with a BBQ and prizes, including a prize to the club with the largest number of entries.

The contact for the rally is Jessica Upton and you can email here for details at; jmupton@usfca.edu

  4. Dear fellow car owners,

Yerba Buena High School is hosting its Annual Car show for the SOS (Save Our Sports) foundation. Last year’s event was cancelled due to school renovations; this year will make up for last year’s cancellation. It will be bigger, better, and more exciting than those of the previous years. This year we will be having from 300 to 400+ cars along with entertainment, food trucks, models, prizes, and MUCH MORE!!! For more information, contact us at ybcarshow13@yahoo.com or come visit our page at facebook.com/ybhscarshow2013. For flyer and registration information, please see attachments.

  5. We are looking for a Mercedes Benz Club in Northern California. We have an older classic model to sell.

  8. Greetings –

My name is Julia Dorn and I’m a producer at Hoff Productions, a television production company in Emeryville, CA.

We’re currently producing a documentary, and one of the historical stories we’re profiling took place in the late 1930’s. We’re looking for a 20’s or 30’s car that could be shown in a re-enactment of the story.

The shoot will take place on Monday, May 13th and we’d need the vehicle to be in Sonoma between 6:30PM – 10:30PM. One scene entails the vehicle sitting on a field (next to the Vintage Aircraft airstrip), while an actor stands next to the vehicle. Another scene entails the owner driving the vehicle while we’re getting a point-of-view shot through the windshield, so that we see the headlights shine onto the road.

Would you know anyone, who might be available with their vehicle?

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Best regards,
    Julia

I am looking for any information on an old car club around 1947. The club name was “Tread Shedders” San Ramon Valley. It was also associated with NHRA. It’s a recreation of the Riley MPH, made by Dwornik Engineering Ltd. in Oxford, England for the last 35 years. You can buy them as a fully assembled car, or as a kit. I’m getting ready to try to find and assembled one and import it, but wonder if any are already here and/or if someone has experienced importing one (or attempting to). Thanks.

  36. If anyone is interested in starting a club similar to what use to exist back in the 50’s where you have a garage that everyone pitches in on to pay the rent, please connect with me. With the high price of real estate here in the Bay Area, I think this makes a lot of sense. You can email me at jack (at) trinity-racing.com

  37. Please post the Pistons, Pin-Ups & Pinot on the Runway car, airplane and airshow event at the Sonoma Valley Airport, October 1, 2016. Held in the heart of wine country by the North Bay Air Museum, the day is filled with fantastic cars, parked amongst wonderful antique, vintage and WWII aircraft; many military vehicles including the National Guards Blackhawk’s stunning arrival as well as the UH-1 Huey! Live music, great food, wines and craft beers… a day to remember! Register soon, space fills fast! Thanks for posting!

  44. Anyone who remembers Ferrari of Los Gatos should check out the new website FLGstory.com. It is a blog about what went on behind the scenes at this California dealership from 1976-1995. Ferrari of Los Gatos sold more Ferraris, as well as other classic and muscle cars, than any other dealership in Northern California at the time. It’s a fun read and a book will be coming out later in the year as well.

  45. I have a JDM Kei car. Anyone know of a Bay Area car club that embraces these miniature turbo pocket rockets?
