Cars That Care Car Show
On October 9, 2021, the Southgate Recreation and Park District will hold its 2nd Annual “Cars That Care” car show, from 9am to 2pm at the Pat O’Brien Community Center located at 8025 Waterman Road in Sacramento. The event will feature classic cars, trucks and motorcycles built prior to 1975. This fundraising event and toy drive will support the District’s Evening with Santa Program, which will happen on December 17. Car show entrants and spectators are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy or gift for a child 1-17 years old, to be shared with a local child at the Evening with Santa event. Each year, the Evening with Santa Program provides up to 350 District residents, who qualify for financial assistance, with dinner prepared by The Embarcadero Lions Club. The evening also includes prize raffles, entertainment and gifts for each child in the family. Kids will also have a chance to win a bicycle donated by the CHP and gift cards provided by local merchants. Car show entry is $20 plus an unwrapped $10 toy or gift. All vehicles must be driven into the show; we do not have any room for trailers.
