The 2nd Annual Auburn Car Show is Saturday, August 27th at The Ridge Golf Club, 2020 Golf Course Rd in Auburn. The hours are 3pm to 8pm and a portion of the proceeds will benefit local charities.
Ceres
The Foster Freezes 65th Birthday Classic Car Show is Saturday, August 27th at the Foster Freeze, 2373 E. Whitmore Ave. in Ceres from 12pm to 6pm.
Chico
The 3rd Annual Hot August Nights is Saturday, August 26th at 545 Vallombrosa Ave. in Chico. Celebrate the American era of the 50’s and 60’s when cruising and sock hops were all the rage. The classic cars may be the focus of Hot August Nights, but there is so much more that you can expect. You will be treated to a BBQ tri-tip dinner, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, raffles, and rockin music by Cottonwood. All event proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. Event is co-sponsored by Sycamore Glen Retirement Community.
Hillsborough
The 2011 Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance is Sunday, August 28th at the Crystal Springs Golf Course, 6650 Golf Course Drive in Burlingame from 10am to 4pm. For 55 consecutive years, The Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance has built and maintained a proud tradition of honoring and celebrating excellence in automotive design and engineering and has earned the proud record as the longest continually running Concours in the world.
Monterey
The 7th Annual Mopars by the Bay is Saturday, August 27th, at Custom House Plaza, Monterey Historic State Park (adjacent to Fisherman’s Wharf). Mopars by the Bay is an annual event celebrating classic and current automobiles manufactured by Chrysler Corporation. The hours are 9am to 5pm.
Petaluma
The Fourth & Sea Sunday Cruise In is Sunday, August 28th at Fourth and Sea Fish and Chips, 101 4th St. (at C St.) in Downtown Petaluma. Sunday Cruise In starts at HIGH NOON! Sundae Cup Trophy awarded at 3pm.
Pleasanton
The Good Guys 25th West Coast Nationals is Friday, August 26th through Sunday, August 28th at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. Gates open at 8am daily.
Santa Cruz
Santa Cruz’s Second Annual Hot Rods for Kids will be held Saturday,August 27, 2011, in conjunction with the 51st Running of the Johnny Key Classic Races at Ocean Speedway at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds, 2601 East Lake Ave. in Watsonville.
Shingle Springs
The Brit & Euro Car Show is Sunday, August 28th, at the Cielo Estate Winery, 3040 Ponderosa Rd in Shingle Springs from 10am to 3pm.
Tracy
The 1st Annual Glass Fantastics Corvette Show is Saturday, August 17th at Dr. Powers Park in Tracy. It is presented by the Glass Packs Corvette Club and opens at 8am.
Weed
The “Rollin’ Weed” Car Show is Sat, August 27th and Sun, August 28th in Historic Downtown Weed from 9am to 4pm. Come enjoy a day of cars, bikes, and trucks in the annual show & shine in downtown Weed, CA. There is a street fair, live music, and great food all day long!
