The 69th Gold Cup Race of Champions is Wednesday to Saturday at 4pm at Silver Dollar Speedway, 2357 Fair Street.
The countdown to Gold Cup 69 has begun. The Nationally recognized event that takes place at the dirt track known as Silver Dollar Speedway is a little over three weeks away. The on-track racing begins Wednesday night, September 6th featuring the Sprint Car Challenge Tour with a special addition. Kyle Larson, the recent Knoxville Nationals winner, his second, and NASCAR Cup champion, is ready to showcase his talents back in front of his Northern California fans. Wednesday night of Gold Cup is Larson’s only scheduled race at Silver Dollar Speedway this season as he will face off against upwards of 50 other talented drivers on that night.
Thursday September 7th, the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series takes center stage for three nights in a row. The greatest sprint car drivers in the world will be contending for the Saturday night $25,000 to win the 40-lap main event. Joining the Thursday and Friday night portion of the show is the Northwest Focus Midgets based out of Washington, and on Saturday night the NorCal Dwarf Cars will entertain the capacity crowd.
