David Love and his Ferrari participated in the first CSRG event over 40 years ago and have been active CSRG participants ever since.

The Classic Sports Racing Group (CSRG) kicks off its 45th season at Infineon Raceway this weekend, March 31-April 1.

Vintage car racing will take center stage in Sonoma with more than 150 vintage race cars set to grace the road course over the weekend. Fans can expect to see Sports Racing, Formula and Production Sports Cars from the 1930s through the early 1970s. The groups will consist of many well-known marques including Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Porsche, Corvette and Jaguar.

The event will feature open practice on Friday, with vintage racing slated for the 12-turn, 2.52-mile road course on Saturday and Sunday.

Gates open at 8 a.m. each day. Admission is $25 per day or $40 for a weekend pass. Children 12 and under are admitted FREE. A portion of proceeds from the event weekend will benefit the Sonoma Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities, the charitable arm of Infineon Raceway.

CSRG returns to Infineon Raceway, Oct. 6-7, for the CSRG Charity Challenge. CSRG has contributed more than $500,000 to Sonoma County youth organizations through Speedway Children’s Charities since 2002.
